What would you be responsible for in this role?
Day 1 the candidates responsibilities would be:
-
Setting up the Trading team
-
Establishing a commercial culture within the team
-
Building the strategy and governance for the trading function
-
Stakeholder managing the Digital and Operational teams to ensure that systems and operational infrastructure can support the teams remit.
Following establishment of the Trading team the candidates responsibilities would be:
-
Leadership of a highly capable Trading team consisting of circa 2-4 people
-
Delivery of revenue in line with planned targets
-
Identifying area’s of market competitiveness and taking action to realise value and maintain competitiveness.
-
Supporting the development of a commercial mindset
-
Stakeholder management across , including Pricing, Underwriting, Distribution, Digital and Marketing
Qualifications
Degree level or equivalent
Experience and knowledge
-
Experience of leading a Trading Team
-
Extensive track record, working at a senior level driving transformational change
-
Experience of assessing and distilling broad ranging research and insight, into cohesive strategies and firm recommendations and plans
-
Experience of developing longer terms strategies and associated business cases (rooted in insight, customer needs/behaviour and emerging trends) to secure investments to deliver strategic initiatives
-
Track record of leading teams to deliver excellence
-
Track record of developing and maintaining broad, influential senior-level relationships (internal and external)

Part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
Experience and knowledge

Experience in a Finance environment, preferably with Financial Services/Insurance background.

Experience in a systems accounting and / or BI or MI environment.
